Abandoned Gas Station in Mays Landing, NJ
Summary While there is some debate about the definition of abandoned gas stations as to how old does a gas station have to be operational to be declared as abandoned, we can generally agree with the notion that an abandoned gas station is presents a significant risk to the community.
What we do? We use bio-remediation products AgroRemed and HydroRemed as part of our cleanup protocol.
Results The tanks were removed in 2018, we closed this project on Jan 17th 2022.

RandomThoughts
Some thoughts on Haskell and purity. A friend of mine introduced me to CPS a few weeks ago and this got me interested in Andrew Appel’s Modern Compiler Implementation in ML that implements a compiler for Tiger programming language.
The chapter on Static-single assignment or SSA form was instructive because it offered an alternative perspective on why purity in functional languages matter. SSA is a property of an intermediate representation, that requires that each variable be assigned only once, and be defined before it is used.

Energy Equation for Asphalt Shingles from FOWA Extraction Process
FOWA Extraction Process This post discusses the energy equation for the FOWA process based on some observations and assumptions. Briefly, the process allows an asphalt producer to extract bunker fuel - test 1, bunker fuel - test 2 - S - 441 ppm and bunker fuel - test3 - S - 291 ppm [from asphalt1. The links to tests 2 and tests 3 show that the sulfur content in the extracted oil is between 291 - 441 ppm less than the 5000 ppm (or 0.

Estimates for production of ULSFO from waste asphalt
Production estimates from Asphalt We were asked to put out some estimates on the amount of ULSFO from waste asphalt. This link contains a table that presents those estimates.
TLDR; 100,000.00 kilograms of waste Asphalt is estimated to produce 90,000 liters.

Producing ULSFO (Ultra low sulfur fuel oil)
Pitch deck for the process of generating fuel oil from asphalt shingles. I am trying something new, I am going to attach a presentation that I would like to take to angel investors. I would love to get some feedback to help me improve the deck. The deck is attached here.

Collection of current and past projects.
This document is a result of a recent conversation with an environmental consultant. They wanted to find out some schematics, flow diagrams of application of VaporRemed on the field. We have tried to collect them here. Link.

Amount VaporRemed Used At The Site
Summary The total amount of VaporRemed added to Soil - 41 gallons. The total amount of VaporRemed added to Sub-slab area - 142 + 91 = 233 gallons. The total amount of VaporRemed added to SG-101 - 35 gallons The total amount of VaporRemed added to SG-106 - 100 gallons. The total amount of VaporRemed added to the site : 476 Gallons Comparison with other projects Although to do an apples-to-apples comparison is not accurate, the following paragraph from the Fourth Five-Year Review Report for Middlefield-Ellis-Whisman (MEW) Superfund Study Area (Pg.

Vapor Attenuation
Vapor Attenuation of paired PCE values between Indoor Air (IA-001) and Sub-Slab area (VP-003) The plot below shows the VaporAttenuation factor based on the formula below for PCE values.
Notes We present vapor attenuation as a function of time to understand the impact of VaporRemed during the remediation process. Vapor attenuation (Johnson and Ettinger 1991) refers to the reduction in concentration of vapor-forming chemicals that occurs during vapor migration in the subsurface, coupled with the dilution that can occur when the vapors enter a building and mix with indoor.
